I have a passion for working with nonprofit organizations and ensuring they don't jeopardize their tax-exempt status. I truly enjoy helping my clients understand the benefits of their exempt status, the potential tax risks and how they can proactively address these issues.
Nonprofit - Kim works in our National Tax Office as head of Exempt Organization Tax and will work with Kyle and other members of the tax team to ensure your tax needs are addressed. Kim has more than 27 years of experience providing tax services to nonprofits and healthcare organizations. Kim works closely with tax-exempt organizations to provide comprehensive tax consulting, planning and compliance expertise. She joined Eide Bailly in 2002 and guides clients through changes in tax reporting requirements and tax law. She assists nonprofits in formations of new entities, annual compliance requirements and all other tax-related issues. In addition, Kim speaks regularly to various nonprofit and higher education groups throughout the country on issues related to their tax-exempt status. General - Kim delivers tax services to healthcare providers and nonprofits, working closely with tax-exempt organizations to provide comprehensive tax consulting, planning and compliance expertise. She joined Eide Bailly in 2002 and guides clients through changes in tax reporting requirements and tax law. She assists nonprofits in formations of new entities, annual compliance requirements and all other tax-related issues. PRESENTER BIO: Kim leads our exempt organization tax practice and is a member of Eide Bailly’s National Tax office. Her 29 years of public accounting experience has been devoted entirely to working with various types of tax-exempt organizations including private foundations, hospitals, higher education institutions and other public charities. During this time, she has worked closely with many nonprofits to address challenging tax issues so that they are resolved in the manner most beneficial to the organization. Kim consults on issues such as mergers and acquisitions, formation of tax-exempt entities, unrelated business income issues, compensation and benefit issues, restructuring of healthcare systems, IRS exams and community health needs assessments among many other unique requirements of exempt organizations. Kim is a frequent speaker regarding tax issues that impact nonprofit organizations.
