Course Description:
The rules and regulations associated with a federal program can be confusing. During this webinar we will discuss the requirements related to several compliance areas that lead to findings during the single audit process. We will also go over frequently asked questions that have been posed to us by higher education institutions in the past.

- Explore several areas of the Uniform Guidance that typically lead to findings during an audit over federal programs.
- List best practices over the areas that typically lead to findings under the Uniform Guidance.
- Discuss frequently asked questions from higher education institutions and what the best practices/answers are to the questions posed.

Brandon Harrison, CPA, Partner | Eide Bailly
Over the past 17 years, Brandon has focused his experience on providing audit, accounting, tax and advisory services to government entities, nonprofit organizations, retirement plans, corporations, and a variety of other entities throughout California with assets in excess of $1 billion. He serves as engagement partner to higher education institutions, as well as K-12 and post-secondary school districts, and county offices of education. Over the years Brandon has worked with clients with extensive complex Single Audits.
Kristin Diggs, CPA, Partner | Eide Bailly
Kristin has more than 17 years of experience working primarily with the government, higher education and nonprofit industries. She serves as the engagement partner on higher education institutions that includes universities, community colleges, proprietary schools as well as their foundations, K-12, charter schools and general government clients. She also has extensive single audit experience. Kristin recently served for three years on the firm’s National Single Audit Technical Issues Committee and is currently serving as chair of the firm’s National Government Technical Issues Committee.
Rachel Green, CPA, Senior Manager | Eide Bailly
Rachel has over 14 years of experience working in the higher education industry, starting her career in accounting with a community college before moving into an assurance and advisory capacity for institutions of higher education. She values collaboration with her clients to expand her knowledge base and welcomes opportunities for training both internally within the firm, as well as externally with clients. Building on her experience and passion for education, Rachel manages and oversees the financial audits, Single Audits, as well as state regulatory audits for institutions of higher education, not-for-profit organizations, as well as K-12 local educational agencies.
