Event Overview
Course Description:
Now that your practitioner is credentialed, it is time to complete the various payer enrollments. Enrollment in the Medicare program is typically the first step in the enrollment process. This presentation will discuss the requirements for enrollment in the Medicare program, the forms available and the common missteps to get your enrollment processed successfully the first time. We will walk you through step-by-step how to complete the enrollment process via electronic-based PECOS and provide a checklist of items needed. If you are not familiar with internet-based PECOS, please join us on January 19th to learn how to properly set up your organization and yourself.
Learning Objectives:
- Explore which practitioners qualify to be enrolled in the Medicare program, the different ways to be enrolled and the proper forms to be used.
- Access and easily manage practitioner enrollments through Internet-based PECOS.
- Discuss the required items needed to get your practitioner enrollments successfully approved the first time for faster approvals.
- Explain how to quickly complete a Medicare reassignment from either the practitioner or group enrollment side in internet-based PECOS. Describe how to successfully manage practitioner revalidations, when requested.
