Shannon Breuer, CPA, HCCP, CEBS, Partner-in-Charge of Affordable Housing | Eide Bailly
Shannon joined Eide Bailly in 1997 and works primarily with housing and real estate, specializing in federal and state income tax incentives for rehabilitation projects, affordable housing and multi-family dwellings. As our Director of Affordable Housing, her expertise in the industry includes acquisition, disposition, subdivision or development issues, historic rehabilitation tax credits, low-income housing tax credits, tax planning and assistance with tax authority examinations.

Aaron Ness, CPA, Partner | Eide Bailly
Aaron joined Eide Bailly in 1998 and specializes in serving clients in the affordable housing and nonprofit industries. He oversees the review of more than 275 affordable housing audits and 40 final cost certifications and carryovers each year. His experience includes audits of public housing authorities, multifamily HUD, Rural Development and low-income housing tax credit projects.

Joe Sawatske, Principal, Energy Incentives | Eide Bailly
Joe has over 13 years of experience in helping taxpayers realize tax incentives through the construction, renovation and design of energy efficient real estate. As the head of Eide Bailly’s Energy Efficiency Incentives (EEI) group, Joe oversees a national team of Professional Engineers, energy modelers and HERS Raters. The growing EEI group is 14 strong with extensive experience in performing 179D deduction, 45L credit and ENERGY STAR studies.

Mark Rogers, Principal-in-Charge of Fixed Asset Services | Eide Bailly
Mark has over 18 years of experience helping taxpayers identify and implement tax-saving strategies made available through building, acquiring, renovating and designing property. As the leader of the Fixed Asset Services (FAS) group, Mark oversees a national team of CPAs, Professional Engineers, energy modelers, LEED professionals, HERS raters, architects and construction specialists. The FAS group is over 30 strong with wide industry experience performing Fixed Asset Planning, 179D Energy Deduction, Cost Segregation, 45L Energy Credit, Tangible Property Regulations and Construction Tax Planning studies.

Kristin Gustafson, PE, CEM, BEMP, LEED AP, Director of 179D, Energy Incentives | Eide Bailly
Kristin leads the 179D department and is a Professional Engineer licensed in 49 states. She is also a certified building energy modeling professional with over 15 years of consulting experience, and helps clients identify and pursue opportunities for specialty services including 45L, Energy Star Certifications, and utility incentive programs.
