GASB Update for Year-End 2022

Event Overview

Course Description:
As 2022 ends, it is time to gear up for GASB pronouncements that are being implemented for this calendar year, including some that you may have forgotten about. Hear an overview of the latest and greatest from the Governmental Accounting Standards Board, including what is required to be implemented for this year-end, next year and looking ahead.

Learning Objectives:

  • Define the basics of GASB Statement No. 91, Conduit Debt Obligations, and the applicable portions of GASB Statement Nos. 92, 93, 97 and 99, that are required to be implemented by December 31, 2022 for calendar year-end governments, along with related Implementation Guides.
  • Summarize the calendar year 2023 with an overview of GASB Statement Nos. 94, 96 and parts of 99.
  • Theorize what 2024 may look like including GASB Statement Nos. 100 and 101, the proposed Certain Risk Disclosures and an update on ongoing GASB projects.
