GASB has finally released its long-awaited exposure draft on Financial Reporting Model Improvements. This is the last chance for preparers to comment on the future of financial reporting. Join us for a summary of the elements of the exposure draft and comment procedures.
Learning Objectives:
- Review the proposed changes for the basis of accounting for governmental funds.
- Discuss the proposed changes for reporting of governmental and proprietary funds.
- Review the changes proposed for other aspects of the basic financial statements, including the Management’s Discussion and Analysis and Required Supplementary Information.
