Rural Health and COVID-19: Getting Back to Business When You and Your Patients are Ready

Event Overview

Course Description:
When is the best time to open the doors to elective surgeries? After all, some rural health organizations around the country, possibly your hospital or clinic, are already starting that process. Although you may be close to re-entry, the real question is whether your patients are ready. You may be thinking that pent-up demand will translate to a backlog of bookings. In some parts of the country, especially those not as hard-hit by COVID-19, this may be the case. But in other areas, fear and anxiety is prevalent when it comes to considering scheduling that colonoscopy, cataract surgery or knee replacement. CEOs around the country are hearing, “I’ll wait a few more months” or “I just don’t feel safe going to the hospital yet.”

Join us for a joint presentation with Legato Healthcare Marketing. You’ll learn practical tips for instilling a culture of confidence within your organization and throughout the community. Then, as we restore that feeling of trust and security, we can smoothly transition to specific business strategies to build revenue and get that surgery suite humming with business.

Learning Objectives
  • Restore a sense of confidence and trust with current and prospective patients amid anxiety surrounding COVID-19.
  • Develop a marketing plan to achieve specific and measurable goals for metrics, such as patient volume, number of procedures, diagnostic revenue, brand awareness and preference.
  • Ensure your recovery plan includes key components for successful operations, including scheduling, preadmission testing (PAT), and infection control processes.
