Course Description
The webinar, “GASB 89 Capitalized Interest and GASB 91 Conduit Debt,” which was scheduled from 12 – 1:30 p.m. CDT on April 16, 2020, has been changed to a COVID-19 State and Local Government Town Hall. This webinar is still eligible for 1.5 CPE credits.
Fields of Study are expected to include Auditing (Governmental), Accounting (Governmental) (Forensic), Information Technology (Cybersecurity), Management Services (Cash and Treasury Management, Budgeting) and Personnel/Human Resources.
Learning Objectives:
- Discuss the impact of COVID-19 on payroll to grant-funded employees and federal awards in general
- Determine what governments should take into account in preparing budgets this spring and summer in terms of cash flow projections, taxation and other assumptions
- Identify what cybersecurity issues are occurring due to COVID-19 with personnel working remotely
- Discuss how the 2020 audits will be accomplished
- Discuss whether the GASB will provide relief on standards being implemented
