Webinar
Reshaping the Gift Box – An Introduction to Noncash Philanthropy and Charitable Giving
Webinar on Laptop

Event Overview

Course Description
Cash and cash equivalents represent the smallest portion of overall wealth for high net worth individuals and major donors yet over 90% of contributions, by number of gifts, are in the form of cash. An organization’s uncertainty or unfamiliarity with noncash gifts can lead to lost opportunities for both the donor and the charitable organization. In this session we will introduce noncash charitable gift alternatives and planned charitable giving tools. We will also discuss the charity’s role with respect to IRS Form 8283 for noncash gifts.

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify noncash charitable giving techniques for current gifts.
  • Discuss the charity’s responsibilities with respect to IRS Form 8283.
  • Discuss noncash planned giving opportunities.
