Today Treasury Secretary Mnuchin announced on Twitter the tax filing deadline will be moved to July 15th along with the tax payment deadline that was recently extended.
As if tax isn’t confusing enough, the IRS created a debacle by delaying the tax payment deadline but not the tax return filing deadline. Now that is corrected. While we will wait for official written details, we will tentatively jump for joy!
