Kim has more than 30 years in public accounting, with experience in the government industry throughout her career. She is the Director of the Colorado government practice and serves some of our largest government clients, including: Jefferson County, Adams County and Summit County; City of Steamboat Springs and Airport, City of Louisville and City of Durango and Airport; Commerce City Housing Authority; State of Colorado Departments of Local Affairs, Public Safety, and Statewide Internet Portal Authority; Great Outdoors Colorado (GOCO); Urban Drainage and Flood Control District; and Douglas County Libraries. She is a member of the AICPA and its Governmental Audit Quality Center; the Colorado Society of CPAs Governmental Issues Committee; Colorado Government Finance Officers Association; Colorado Counties, Inc; Special District Association of Colorado; and Colorado Municipal League. Kim also provides our staff with the opportunity to review 12 ACFRs per year for GFOA as a member of its Special Review Committee. PRESENTER BIO: Since 1979, Kim has been providing public accounting services to a variety of clients, including governmental and quasi-governmental entities, nonprofits, and state agencies. She performs external audits, internal audits, and consulting for counties, cities, and state agencies throughout the United States for the firm. As a widely respected leader in her field, Kim also serves on the firm’s governmental and internal audit advisory committees, guiding the strategies of the firm in external auditing, internal auditing, and consulting services locally and nationally. You may have heard Kim speak recently on the firm's internal audit webinars, hosted for governmental entities, as well as ARPA webinars as she serves on those specific topic committees for the firm.
